I don't know if it is a form of Stockholm Syndrome, but over the course of twenty months of occasionally floor-shakingly noisy construction right outside my window, i grew to love the substation project. And now that the major construction is done and there is rarely any discernible activity on the site, i find myself missing it. I tried to generate some interest in the water-main replacement work on Farwell, but honestly, i just want that job to be done as quickly as possible so we can all go back to parking our cars and taking our bubble-baths in peace and quiet. I simply can't generate the same kind of interest in that job as i did to the substation. So, i was delighted today to see a handful of workers back on the job today, working on the small gravel slope at the north end of the substation. At the end of the day, it looked like they were still in the middle of doing whatever they are doing, so i hope to have more to report in the coming days.
