Year 2, Day 189: 6 May 2014

Lots of busyness at both ends of the roof this morning.

Meanwhile:

A huge circular saw cuts through a section of the retaining wall
just beyond the south end of the substation. If you have been
following this blog since the beginning, you will remember what
a feat it was to take down the rest of this wall last spring.

The hole in the middle of Farwell has grown substantially
and has a pool of extremely murky water at the bottom.

*** UPDATE 16 May: This photo shows a trench box
in use, securing the walls of the excavation from caving in.
There is a picture of a trench box not in use on the 15 May post.
